Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience on a utility crew Working knowledge of shoring and excavation Ability to read cut/grade sheets Work in outdoor environments in all seasons Be comfortable working alongside heavy equipment and able to communicate with operators, workers and pedestrians Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening Applicants must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis in order to be considered. Responsibilities Installation and repair of waterline, sanitary sewer and storm sewer Ability to align and position pipes to prepare them for joining. Ability to connect pipe pieces and seal joints Install and use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levels Ability to check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers Assist with the covering of pipes with earth or other materials. Cut pipes to required lengths Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools Work in confined and enclosed spaces Willing to train others in pipe-laying and provide supervision. Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and co-workers Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Location: Various Jobsites Working Hours: Typical start time varies between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Overtime, nights and weekends may be required. For this role the base hourly range is $20.00-$30.00 per hour. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
