Mental Health Technician (MHT) PRNThree Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician (MHT) PRN to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will work directly with patients experiencing behavioral health challenges, helping to ensure their safety, support their treatment plans, and promote a positive therapeutic environment.The Mental Health Technician (MHT) will:Provide direct patient care and supervision in a behavioral health settingMaintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment at all timesConduct routine patient safety checks and observationsSupport patients with daily living activities as appropriateRespond appropriately to situations and behavioral escalationsCollaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plansQualifications:High School diploma or equivalentAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred)Previous experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or healthcare setting preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentStrong interpersonal, communication, and observational skillsMust be able to manage challenging behaviors with professionalism and empathyCurrent BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hireAbility to work 12 hour shifts, and pick up at least two shifts per month, with one being a weekend.
